    BalasHapus
    Balasan
    1. Of course.

      1. Simple Sentence memiliki dua rumus, yaitu:

      * subject + verb + complement

      Example:
      - Thea is a teacher.
      - Aiden is a handsome doctor.

      * subject + verb + object

      Example :

      - My mother buys some fruits.
      - I need a paper and a pencil.

      2. Compound Sentence

      * subject + predicate (verb + object/ complement) + coordinate cojunction + subject + predicate (verb + object/ complement)

      Example :

      - I like to paint a wall and my sister likes to read a novel.
      - Ani wants to make a cake, so I help her buying some ingredients.

      3. Complex Sentence

      * IC + SC/RP + C

      IC = independent clause
      SC = subordinating conjunction
      RP = relative pronoun
      C = clause

      Example : Tyrone gave a sandwich to the homeless man who was scavenging for food in the dumpster.

      * SC/RP + C + IC

      4. Compound-Complex Sentence

      Formula: DC + IC + CC + IC

    BalasHapus
  38. Almira, can you explain the difference between the independent and dependent clause?

    BalasHapus
    Balasan
    1. An independent clause is a group of words that can stand on its own as a sentence: it has a subject, a verb, and is a complete thought.

      A dependent clause is a group of words that also contains a subject and a verb, but it is not a complete thought. Because it is not a complete thought, a dependent clause cannot stand on its own as a sentence; it is dependent on being attached to an independent clause to form a sentence.
